Netflix have announced that the fifth and final season of Top Boy will drop in September. With Brinsley Terence, David Kirkbride and Edward Wolstenholme featuring across the series.

The show – which was first broadcast on Channel 4 back in 2011, then reprised by Netflix in 2019 – is set in the fictional Summerhouse estate in Hackney, and follows the lives of drug dealers and gang members in the capital.

The fifth (or, if you’re not counting the original two, third) season of Top Boy was confirmed by the streaming giant back in March, with lead actors and executive producers Ashley Walters and Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson saying at the time: “Every story must have an ending and so season three will be our finale. A chance to come full circle and end the journey the right way.”
